Maxsum Consulting Achieves ISO9001 Certification

Maxsum rounds out it’s unique set of industry-leading certifications in Central Victoria with ISO9001 Quality Management Systems Certification

Maxsum Consulting was founded in Bendigo in 2001 by Managing Director, Joe Ciancio. Over the last 20-plus years Maxsum has continued to bring best-in-class business technology solutions and advice to decision-making tables in organisations across Victoria. Today, Maxsum is one of Regional Victoria’s leading Managed IT Services and technology consulting providers, and we continue to prioritise growth in all its forms – size, scale, capability and maturity – as we pre-empt and adapt to the new and the next across the business technology landscape.

Following fast in the wake of our 21st Birthday Celebrations and ISO27001 Information Security Management Systems Certification in 2022, Maxsum rounded out 2022 with the announcement that we have additionally received certification in the globally recognised ISO9001 Quality Management Systems Standard.

Maxsum is the first locally founded, owned and headquartered Managed IT Services provider in Central Victoria to achieve both certifications, and one of only a handful of certified providers and organisations across Regional Victoria as a whole.

ISO9001 (ISO/IEC9001) is a quality management system standard sets out a number of quality management principles and requires organisations seeking certification to demonstrate a strong customer focus, the motivation and commitment of top management, a process-backed approach to delivering consistent quality outcomes and pathways to drive continual improvement. Using ISO 9001 principles and working to ISO9001 certified processes ensures that clients are provided with consistent, high-quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits to both client and provider.

Preparing for and obtaining ISO9001 Certification required Maxsum to undertake a rigorous audit, review, rescoping and redefinition of our core processes, as well as those procedures and resources that execute and deliver our Maxsum products and services. This required a meticulous review of Maxsum’s actionable and trackable quality policies, proof of execution and evidence of both qualitative and quantative quality outcomes are delivered to our clients and stakeholders by way of our products, services and processes.  To achieve certification, Maxsum undertook a detailed External Audit conducted both remotely and in-person over several days and pass secondary checks then conducted by an External Certification Management Board. Certification now entitles Maxsum to use the internationally recognised ISO9001Certification Mark and be listed as a Certified Organisation on the JASANZ Register.

As more and more organisations are looking for their partners and supply chains to demonstrate a commitment to integrity, quality and continual improvement, ISO9001 Certification now sets Maxsum apart from other Managed IT Service providers in that we can clearly articulate, demonstrate how our people-first, process-backed, performance-driven approach works to maintain and enhance quality outcomes to our clients on a regular ongoing basis.

Obtaining certification is the culmination of over 12 months of hard work by our dedicated Quality Management and Executive Leadership Team at Maxsum.
